Planning a Memorable Stay in Berkeley
Guests from around the world — including out-of-town family, visiting scholars, newcomers to the area, and locals seeking respite from home renovation projects — enjoy this lovely, private, and peaceful hideaway for stays from 3 nights to 3 weeks. We offer B&B ambience with access to our gourmet kitchen for light meal prep and laundry for longer stays.
We’re located just 2 miles north of UC Berkeley campus, a short walk to charming Kensington village — which boasts a grocery store, pharmacy with Post Office, wine store, deli, restaurant, an ATM machine, and more — and near public transit. Here you are 5 minutes from Tilden Park, a 2077-acre jewel of urban wilderness, 7 minutes from Chez Panisse and Berkeley’s famed Gourmet Ghetto, 30 minutes from either San Francisco or Marin, and just over an hour from the glorious Pt. Reyes National Seashore, Sonoma County, or Napa Valley. Street parking is safe and plentiful.
The Asia Suite boasts a very comfortable queen-size bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, goose down pillows, plentiful closet & dresser space, and wireless DSL. Guests with larger parties may also rent the adjacent Library, which can be outfitted with a queen Aerobed, down pillows and a fluffy comforter. Hypo-allergenic pillows are available on request.
From time to time, the entire home — 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps up to 7 — is available to rent.
We warmly welcome parents with infants and children who will be safe and comfortable in a home with many tempting and breakable artifacts, glass tabletops, and an open stairwell.
We use only eco-friendly cleaning products in this completely NON-SMOKING home. We have no pets and, regrettably, cannot accommodate yours.
